I took Plavix on 2 different occasions. I was put on the medication after my first heart stent took it for 1 yr. discontinued the medication. I took it again after another heart stent took it for another year I'm now currently not on the medication. I had no problems with plavix other than bruising very easily.

After taking this medication for 14 months I wound up bleeding from the large intestine and came very close to dying! I required 3 pints of blood and 2 saline solutions to get back to any resemblance to normal. This is a very dangerous drug that came awful close to killing me!

My husband takes this medicine.... He has had no problem until yesterday when his nose started bleeding. In the sideaffects portion of the description it states that Plavix can possibly cause nose bleeds....It has stopped now..and we will talk to his Dr. about this...

I've had bypass surgery, stents and valve replacement for Coronary Arteries clogging over the period since 1991. Now, at 90, using Plavix among other medications, I am very active and symptom free for the past 4 years. My age is not recognizable at all in my appearance. Plavix must be a contributor for my current good health.

My right carotid is occluded. First indication was irreversible loss of vision in right eye. Left carotid is 70% occluded. Plavix has actually decreased the left from 80% over the past 2 years.

Caused liver failure. I now have immune problems related to the liver failure. I have had to be on a regimen of steroids for 6 months. I am now having to go back on steroids because my liver counts are going back up.

I take one 75 Mg tablet of clopidogrel per da. and two cilostazol 100 Mg tablets per da. My RBC is 3.32 , HGB is 10.5 and Hct is 32. Three days ago my stool seem to be tary. but has cleared up. Do you think the tary stools could have been a reaction of my medicine? My blood count worries me since was okay two months ago. I do see one of my doctors Monday Aug. 19.
