This is the ONLY muscle relaxer that is worth a damn, unless you want to take something that makes you lay flat on your back like flexeril and gives you cotton mouth like you drank too much. skelaxin - can you say USELESS and expensive on top of that. I always find it humorous that the doctors who won't prescribe soma because it is "addictive". it is "addictive" because it actually WORKS...

DANGER!!! This is the worst drug ever, more addictive than narcotics, my mom took it and acted "DRUNK" slurring of speach loss of urine public nudity unsafe sex inability to walk etc... I watched this from 9 yrs to 24yrs when she quit taking them, I also used and abused SOMA, DR'S really should be more aware of the risks with this drug.... Just take anything but this.

I received my prescription for the SOMA generic on 03/26/13 after injuring back in 02/13 and using extra strength Tylenol as instructed by dr. For 2 miserable weeks I used the Tylenol as recommended with no relief in lower back pain. Received prescription and started using on 03/26/13 and stopped usage on 04/02/13 with successful results. Continued to take medication as dr. had said to take 5- 8 days. No lower back pain after the 4th day and I continued to work during the daytime after taking medication at night before going to bed. It worked for me is all I can say at this point. Hopefully, the pain will not return/Read More Read Less

I always find it humorous that the doctors who won't prescribe soma because it is "addictive". it is "addictive" because it actually WORKS without any of the nasty side effects of the other muscle relaxers. there is no withdrawal from it and it trumps every other muscle relaxer by so much it is immeasurable. put it this way, you can be prescribed opiate based pain killers that will leave you devastated and sick when you run out of them, or even worse benzos that will rewire your brain and make you feel like you are losing your mind and you WILL find out what hell is and oh yeah how about you throw in some seizures also. but soma is "bad" because it makes you feel good and that is a no-no apparently. insane.Read More Read Less

the best muscle relaxer there is, or ever will be. i have severe muscle spasms and finally explained to my doctor i am a grown man that desparately needed soma to take my back out of spasm and relieve my sciatica. the watson dan's are great. it is a terrible shame that because this medication is abusable it has been taken out of the hands of so many people who are suffering that need it and they are given flexeril or something instead that just knocks them out cold.

I read some of the other 'posts' at the beginning of this thread. I am shocked and scared that people would be so 'uneducated' by purchasing this Schedule Drug that one needs a written prescription for from the attending doc and must hand it o the pharmacist just to get it filled. Wow! You can now buy 'control drugs' on the World Wide Web ! I know that there is no regulatory group that checks out the 'home-made' 'control drugs' available to purchase online. Thus, no guarantee that the first pill might be 50 mg and the next pill 32 mg, and then the next 65mg. My Goodness! The FDA does not approve of these pills and something that is so addictive is available 'on the internet'. That is a site that someone should check out. Remember, that is no quality control when the FDA is not present to be the 'governor' of the manufacturing process. Please do not buy your drugs that are prescription 'over the internet'; it can be tricky and dangerous. Would you allow a surgeon that you met online due your surgery for whatever is wrong with your back? Do you want the cheapest Surgeon, or the Best Surgeon when the time comes that you must have the surgery before you are paralyzed. I would not do this in one million years. Thank you.Read More Read Less

Very very addictive taking more than recommended dose will cause very bad stomach problems I do think soma is much better than the generic form but try to pay for that!

I have Fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease, chronic pain/fatigue, arthritis in my neck and all down my back, scar tissue on my spine. I have been taking Soma for over 20 years and it is a life saver...along with Vicodin 10 and Valium 10 mg. I take Soma 3Xdaily, Vicodin 10 4Xdaily, Valium 10mg 4Xdaily and the pain relief and reduction of muscle spasms is great.
