I have had 3 sinus operations. All allergy tests show negative. However, I've been suffering with a runny nose, leaky, itchy eyes & congestion for years. This medication is the closest thing to recovery for me. It's like a miracle. It only lasts 6 hours but I take it twice a day & my life is much more manageable now. I no longer snort uncontrollably. Now if I could find something to help my eyes, ...

This medication has failed me in many ways: 1st, it is completely ineffective and every time I use it I loose my sense of taste, smell and my motivation to get off the couch. Everything I used to eat no longer tastes good so now, the only things I can stomach are ice cream, cookies, cake, potato chips and french-fries. After only 6 months of use I have gained nearly 70 lbs. 2nd, it is impossible t...

Went to ENT for having a chronic sinusitis last 3 years. Dr. prescribed this med. to dry out the drainage(to my throat) .. I took it for 10 days, it dried out every single gland in my body. Blurred vision, bloodshot eyes, nose bleeds, sore throat, difficult urination, worst of of all "increased nasal congestion" that I went to ENT for. Its been a week since I stopped using but my eyes did not recover. Why would anyone prescribed this med.?

I have used this nasal spray for quite a few years and have been happy with its effectiveness for non-seasonal allergies/sinus problems with runny nose year round. My on only complaint is with the sprayer. Up until a few months ago, I had no problem. In the last few months, since they changed the green locking ring on the sprayer to blue, with a very small knob on it to grasp to remove, the sprayer has become extremely temperamental. In use, sometimes no spray without rotating the nasal, sometimes over and over again until it gives 1 or 2 sprays. You must repeat rotating the sprayer until you finally get the desired number of sprays. Very annoying.Read More Read Less

I took this medication for three days. Bad burning taste in mouth, dry sand paper nose and mouth. It took three weeks to heal thoroughly.

Worked just fine. Felt major improvement in 2 days. Had the known side effect of dry nose and minor nose bleeding, but worth it for the sinus relief.

I have read most of the reviews. Unfortunately I can relate with everyone. I don’t normally participate in reviews but I thought I would share a couple remedies I have had success with. FYI I’m not self medicating. My ENT prescribed Budesonide in a powder form put in a nasal saline rinse. It worked really well for the sinus issues. The second problem I encountered was uncontrollable coughing due to nasal drip. Which than caused a slight breathing problem. I was prescribed Trelegy, almost instant relief. I only use the Trelegy for a thirty day period and the problem goes away for about five months. So the two medications you may consider asking your Family physician or ENT about is Budesonide rinse and Trelegy. I realize Trelegy is prescribed for COPD and Asma but it knocked out my chronic cough almost immediately . Read More Read Less

The best tip I can give for using nasal sprays in general is to tip your head slightly forward, not back. Otherwise, it doesn't go up into your tissues, it'll just go down your throat. If you use this properly and hold your head forward for a minute, you will have better results in the nose, less dry throat, and less dry mouth. (As someone said, the dry mouth can cause ... well, a reduction in the enzymes in the saliva, which prevent the plaque from giving you cavities... so you want to avoid the dry mouth.) I have suffered most of my childhood and all of my adult life with runny nose, and when I don't want to take benadryl and be drowsy, I use this instead. It works great if you use the forward head tilt and prime the pump first.Read More Read Less

this medication worked great for stopped my nnose from running all the time. BUT, there is a major draw back if you have to use this medication for longer than 2 weeks or for an extended period. no one warns you about. i had to find out the very hard way. i had some dental work done in Feb 2021, for 6 cavities and a root canal with a crown. i thought this is very strange ive never needed this much dental work done.i had give the dentist a list of my MEDS. nothing was said. so i switch dentist this year due to moving. and go to dentist Mar 2022.the hygienist ask me if i have an issue with dry mouth. i said extremely dry and dry eyes i use eye drops daily. so they give me the news i now have 14 cavities in one year. they research my medication and find out that Ispratroium Bromide after 2 weeks of use can cause tooth decay. the denist asked me if my doctor or last dentist warned me of this. I said Hell NO. i would have thrown this medication in the trash. so now I have to use a high fluoride tooth prescription toothpaste, fluoride rinse, and trays in my mouth while sleeping at night to help restore my teeth after the filling are done to repair all this damage, all due to a medication side effect. READ ALL the side effect, this is one of the less common it says but the dentist says it is very common with this medication. on some paper that come with the medication it doesnt even list this side effect. It lists dry mouth but not tooth decay on all the website or drug info forms. Be very careful unless you want expensive dental bills. This is from experience. not word of mouth. or social media news. BS. Read More Read Less

I have chronic severe rhinitis causing almost constant post nasal drip which damn near drowns me. I have had Balloon Sinuplasty and ClariFix done - both causing severe pain. Clarifix caused an instant blinding headache that lasted 5 hours. Neither procedure helped for more than a few weeks. Ipratropium spray takes effect in a few minutes and stops the dripping cold. The only down side is that it only lasts about 6-7 hours so must be done about 3 times per 24 hours

I started experiencing crushing migraine-like headaches. After a trying various things, even MRI exam, my headache specialist determined probable chronic sinus infection and prescribed 30 days of antibiotic. My ENT suggested adding Ipratropium 0.06% 3x a day to help open up nose and sinus. Ipratropium works quite quickly, perhaps drying out too much; may ask ENT to suggest a lower dose. I have noticed that Ipratropium seems to aggravate prostate enlargement slow urination symptoms. After two weeks into the antibiotics and a few days using Ipratropium, migraines decreased from every few days; no headache in the last week. It appears a sinus infection may take a lot longer to treat than the 10 days of antibiotics doctors typically prescribe. It took 14 days of antibiotics before I started to see results.Read More Read Less

Decades of a runny nose. While eating I sniffed constantly, very embarrassing. The med has made a very significant improvement. I am experimenting with one squirt in each nostril AM and PM. I am on the 0.06% does with 2 squirts in each nostril twice daily. I may even try dosing immediately before meals as some here have reported working well. When I sniff it up into my sinuses after spraying it I often get a metallic taste in my mouth, often lasts a couple hours. Not awful, just annoying. On the whole, this is a wonderful medication I wish I had discovered many years ago. BTW, as I understand it this is a perpetual med for most users.Read More Read Less

My sinuses constantly produced discharge. Down my throat sometimes choked me. Sinus irrigation helped somewhat. Over the counter antihistamines helped somewhat. My allergist prescribed Ipratropium Bromide 0.03%. First dose made me more comfortable. Second dose dried me up so badly, it was worse than any antihistamine that I had taken. And I was urinating a lot without drinking a lot. Not the best choice for me as I was getting dehydrated.

Had post nasal drip really bothered me all the time. This spray practically cut dripping to zero. Very drying but works. Some saline nose drop can lubricate the nose lining to balance the dryness.

I am 26 going on 27 and have been dealing with chronic rhinitis for years now. I finally went to an ENT specialist last week and they prescribed me ipratropium bromide nasal solution for my runny nose. I don't know if it is related but I was also diagnosed with a deviated septum on my right hand side causing less air to flow through my right nostril due to a curvature in the septum itself. This medication seems to make me need tissues far less than I did before. When I do reach for tissues it's usually at the end of the day anyways. I was told to use two Squirts and each nostril three times a day and so far it is not a complete cure but it definitely does help slow down mucus production in the nasal cavity and sinuses. If you are having a runny nose all the time and Zyrtec or any other antihistamine or allergy medicine does not work I highly recommend trying ipratropium bromide nasal solution 0.06% As It Seems to be the only thing that helps even in the slightest. I hope this review help some people decide if they might want to try this medication, it really can work wonders for some people and allow them to get back to a semi-normal life without having to blow your nose or stick tissues up your nose every half hour or so.Read More Read Less
