I have been prescribed this medication many times for tooth absesses or infections and it is the only one that cures my problem. Regular penicillin drugs never helped me at all. This also unlike the penicillin drugs will not give you a yeast infection and I never had any side effects.

I given this to treat a URI and it actually did more harm than good. I had an allergic reaction to this medication, stay away if you are allergic to Penicillin. This gave me hives, breathing problems and a fever. After this episode the next day I had to go back to the Doctors for the allergic reaction and to get new medication anyways.

I have taken Keflex in the past without any problem. However, I was recently prescribed a generic form and within one week had localized migraine with Horner's syndrome (droopy eyelid with unequal pupil reaction). MRI, CT, CAT scan all negative. Office visit with ophthalmologist, neurosurgeon, ER treatment, overnight stay in the hospital and no one associated my symptoms with Keflex. I am stop ... Show Full Comment
