DO NOT EVER TAKE THIS. Within hours the pain is so severe I was lying on the floor unable to get up. I was vomiting and the pain was literally so severe it was coming through my back and my heart was racing. I was moments away from going to the emergency room after 2 hours of excruciating pain, but then, with barely any bowel movement it started to slowly subside. I know for a FACT it was the Correctol because it happened the last time I took it. Last time I wasn't sure if it was coincidence or the constipation causing the severe pain so I gave it another try. SAME PROBLEM. Read More Read Less

I looked up stomach pain after taking Correctol...and here I am, wishing I had read these comments before I took it. I'm sitting here with the worst stomach pain I've had since labor. I feel like I need to vomit but have dry mouth. My intestines feel like someone is twisting them.ive honestly been sitting on the toilet for an hour and no bm...just severe abdominal pain and I vomited once. I will NEVER take this medication again!

Took as directed and drank fluids and it made me so dehydrated I needed IV fluids. My heart rate was elevated. I was dizzy. I felt like I was going to pass out or black out at any moment. Worst experience of my life. I spent my day off in the bathroom. Then getting IV fluids. I was so nauseated I couldn't eat. And now 24 hrs after taking it I still have bad abdominal pain awful medication. Shouldn't be OTC. I couldn't even drive myself home after IV fluids due to dizziness.

I took one pill, exactly as directed. A few hours later, I was weak, sweating, having severe, very painful cramps, and sitting on the toilet vomiting into a trash can. These symptoms lasted for several hours. The weak feeling and watery bowels lasted for a couple days. Do not take, there is nothing gentle about this product.

Took 2 pills around 8pm and almost immediately felt extreme dehydration and weakness. I went to bed and woke up around 6am with the worst stomach cramps I have ever had in my life. I managed to get myself to the bathroom where I sat for almost 30 minutes doubled over in pain before I had a bowel movement. The entire time I was back and forth thinking I was going to vomit. I thought maybe that was the end of it but after I went to work and ate some lunch it was the same thing all over again, and again for the rest of the night. The stomach cramping was so painful I do not recommend anyone take these pills.Read More Read Less

As per the package directions, I took two tablets three hours ago (thinking that it would kick in when I got home from work). I just got up off of the floor of my office, where I was waiting for the pain to subside. "Gentle" is probably not the appropriate adjective to describe the way Correctol works.

It worked... and if by gentle they mean not immediate then sure... I took it before bed and didn't have a BM till morning. But I've since made mupltiple trips to the restroom feeling miserable. Not gentle at all by my standards, just takes a while to get through your system! Once its there though, you're not stopping till there's nothing left... not even water!

I take two at a time before bedtime and will experience cramping while sleeping; bad cramps! However, when I get up in the morning, I drink a cup of coffee and have a real blow out, but feel so much better after wards. The only time I've felt sick is when I was hungry for all the new space in my intestine. Hate the cramps, but it works for me!

I have frequent constipation and used to take correctol before they changed the formula due to them taking the old drug off the market...anyway this new formula doesn't work...all it does is give me severe cramps, nausea, and weakness...I will never take it again.

I have IBS and I was in need of something to relieve my constipation. I never used a laxative, so I tried Overnight Correctol. I have had HORRIBLE diarrhea, weakness, nausea, and cramps all day...I feel like death! Don't use this product...go for a tea that is more natural and gentle!

Horrible, horrible pill! I took just one and woke up the next morning in excrutiating pain. Almost 24 hours after taking the pill, I still cannot eat anything and the cramping continues. I hate this pill. Will never take again.

I have irritable bowel and sometimes get costipation. I tried this product around 5:00 in the afternoon. I did not have a bowel movement until I got to work, which was 8:00 the next day with severe cramping and feeling weak. This stuff is not gentle. I took two pills as the directions stated. I will never take this product again.

This has been the best OTC laxative that I've ever used. Very satisfied. Just hoping it is safe, knowing that I've used is for more than a year.

I typically have normal BM however, because I was sick with bronchitis for 2 weeks I could not work out and I didn't have a BM for 3 days. I came home and decided to take 2 Correctols thinking this will help my system get moving. I regret this decision so much now. Within 2 hours of taking the pills I suffered SEVER cramping and nothing was coming out. My boyfriend found me in fetal position on the bathroom floor screaming in pain. Afer about another 2 hours I had a BM and vomitted several times. I was finally able to control the pain and went to sleep. The next day I woke up with SEVER cramping again. this cramping has 3 days.. I will never ever ever take this stuff again. They should really pull it off the market! Read More Read Less

I had not had a BM for over a week, and I was not feeling well in the bowels as a result. I took one pill - someone recommended it, saying it works for him just fine. But not me. I took it before bed at night and woke up inthe early morning with severe symptons, thankfully my partner was there who almost called the ambulance. I felt hot and was sweating uncontrollably, I was cold to the touch though. I was so weak I couldnt get myself up off the floor, or off the toilet after having diarhea. I had the dry heaves as well. I thought I was dying, never in my life did I feel so sick and so awful. Next time I will just deal with it till I have a BM. I would like to note that I regularly eat high fiber foods and have a very regular system. So I only resulted to this as a last result, and I regret it. 24 hours after taking the pill I am still feeling sick to my stomach.Read More Read Less

This drug is horrible. After taking one tablet at about 4 p.m. I woke up around 2 a.m. sweating, in tremendous pain, nauseated and disoriented. I thought I was having a heart attack. I cannot believe this drug is on the market stating "for gentle, dependable overnight relief. The FDA needs to re-evaluate this drug and its side effects
