After putting off 1st colonoscopy until I was nearly 53 from sheer dread of the day-before prep, I'm so thrilled that I did because it allowed the time for Prepopik to be approved in the US. It was the easiest prep I could ever imagine, just 2 five-oz glasses of pleasant citrus-tasting drink at 2 and 8 pm the day before my procedure. They kicked in within an hour each time, each time they led to...

After insurance I paid $118.00 for this prescription. After finding out it only came out in 2012, I started researching it online and discovered as of March 15, 2015 it is manufactured in China. That is according to the actual documents you can find online by searching Prepopik, March 15, made in China. I looked at the outside of the box and it gives the address for the pharmaceutical and it is...

I had my first colonoscopy a few days ago and knew I could not tolerate any of the other liquids so I opted for Prepopik. Wow, it was so easy. Two 5 oz glasses of the solution was no problem. It tasted sour but not bad. I did follow a clear liquid diet beginning after breakfast that day and drank a lot of water and I think that helped. Staying hydrated is important. I had an early morning appointment so that meant waking up at 2 a.m. to take the second dose. But I was clean for the procedure. My worst problems were being SO hungry and wishing I would have used some wipes instead of regular toilet paper. I was hurting! But I think that is the same with any prep. I will definitely use this again. It did cost $50 with insurance but it was the only way I was going to be able to get a colonoscopy. Read More Read Less

This product is too expensive for what it does. However, having to consume less clear liquids afterwards may help some users get through it easier.

This is my first colonoscopy at age 50. I am somewhat concerned that I haven't had the explosive emptying of the bowels as others have described. I took my first dose at 3 pm yesterday and my second at 9 pm. it is 5:30 am and I am just beginning to clear up. would feel more comfortable if I cleared a few hours earlier. should have taken advice and started with magnesium citrate about noon yesterday

This was my second prep experience, this time using Prepopik. It turned out disastrous. Although I started out fine, was just about done (15th BM), I suddenly awoke to feel dizzy and almost fainted. I struggled to stay awake, holding onto the tub and having wife apply cold wash cloths to stay awake. Thereafter, I had ACUTE PSYCHOSIS and other debilitating physical symptomology. This drug is defective, and should be withdrawn by the manufacturer (Ferring in China).

9 hours after the first dose, almost nothing has happened. I followed instructions to the letter and have drunk liquids constantly. I am worried that I will have taken 2 days off work only to have the colonoscopy canceled. I will take the second dose in a few hours. This is very distressing.

I didn't have a problem taking the first half of the dose; however a few hours later I got up to use the bathroom, fainted, had to go to the ER. Have no memory of all this. After 11 Days I'm still having memory problems, feel very weak and shaky. If not improved in a month, I have to see a neurologist. I personally would never use it again. After reading these reviews, it seems to affect different people, different ways. I never got to use the second dose and am so glad I didn't.

After reading many reviews and their nightmare with Prepopik, I was starting to have panic attacks. After I spoke to my doctor he told me that it is a easy prep. Well, he was right, It was a very small amount to swallow (5oz at 6pm & 5oz at 12am) compared to MOVIPREP which is crazy amount to drink. Prepopik has a citrus/lemony flavor. It is a bit sour... kind of like super sour/sweet lemon balls candies. The 2nd dose was not bad . All in all prepopik is the best from what I was offered at the doctors office. It's fast and sweet. Stay away from Moviprep, it's more of a thick liquid mixture and too long of a process and steps to take to have a colon cleanse... not necessary. Read More Read Less

Prepopik was easy to use. I had to go 2 day's with just liquard's but I drank soup broth and jello so it wasn't bad. The prepopik was just 5 ozs. and it tasted like orange flavored water. I did the split dose. After the first dose I had to drink 5 - 8 oz. glasses of liquard in 5 hours. This was easy as I drank one glass every hour. The next dose was done at 3:30 am since my colonoscpopy was at 8:30 am. Than I had to drink 3 - 8 oz. glasses of liquard in 3 hours. I started the loose bowel's in one hour after the first dose. There was no cramp's and I didn't feel hungry because I drank lots of liquards. I was told to drink lots of liquards so I wouldn't feel hungry and it worked. I was very satisfied.Read More Read Less

This was my third colonoscopy. The first two were uneventful and thorough. My response to the Prepopik was so violent and debilitating that I am having to have a pelvic MRI two months after the procedure, as I am still having uncomfortable spasms that I never had prior to use. It did empty me, but caused harm. Other preparations had done the same cleansing without the violence.

It was the easiest prep I could ever imagine, just 2 five-oz glasses of pleasant citrus-tasting drink at 2 and 8 pm the day before my procedure. They kicked in within an hour each time, each time they led to about 4 quick and easy trips to the toilet, I was done by bedtime and not at all disturbed during the night except to pee because I'd also drunk a lot of other clear liquids. My colonoscopy was totally successful and now I don't have to do it again for 10 years, although I can honestly say that with the ease provided by Prepopik I wouldn't even care if it was once a year. We are so lucky to live at a time when the gallons of disgusting, gag-inducing liquid are no longer a necessity! Don't let your doctors get away with prescribing anything other than Prepopik, it's truly a life-saver. Also, it's not necessary to get up at 3 a.m. to have the last dose, so don't listen to that if prescribed. Do it the civilized way, in the afternoon and evening, and you'll have an easy peaceful night and no problems the next day.Read More Read Less

This is my 3rd colonoscopy and just used Prepopik. By a mile, the BEST & MOST TOLERABLE prep I have ever used! No salty, gritty taste at all! Tastes like just like orange soda. My doctor said I could mix the powder with any clear liquid. So, instead of cold water, I mixed it with white cranberry juice, not at all bad! I have already had 16 of the 40 ozs of the required clear liquid you must drink following the first Prepopik dose. Hopefully, this prep stays on the market as I would never use any other again! This was the best colonoscopy prep I have used. It doesn't taste bad and you only have to drink two 5 oz glasses of it(plus your clear liquids) Compared to the other preps I have had to use I felt the best using Prepopik. I did not have any cramping or side effects. For me it did not kick in until about 3 hours after I took the first dose and I have read this is common, but afterward it worked great.

Except for being hungry, this was an exceptional way to prepare for a colonoscopy. So much easier than gagging down 64 ounces. I had no side effects and my bowels were clear. I would recommend this product to anyone who asked.

Taking this medication was a breeze, I even got a fair amount of sleep. However, I didn't have really clean results the next morning but the doctor was able to do the colonoscopy anyway. That evening the watery diarrhea and severe cramping started. That was on Saturday night. Today is Monday afternoon & I've had 5 bouts of diarrhea already (Sunday wasn't much better) Called my doctor & he has prescribed Bentyl. I can only hope this will help. Now I have missed 2 of my work shifts!

This new prep method for colonoscopy was a breeze. Two small envelopes of powder that had a pleasant taste taken 5 hours apart with just 40 oz of water. First dosage works very well while the second dosage(taken at 8:00pm) did nothing. I was paranoid because I was expecting more trips to the bathroom but nothing ever came until the next morning. It did the trick as I was told from my doctor. Such a better drug that the huge gallon of stuff you used to have to take.
