My last Migraine lasted 5 days. Because I do not like the way narcotics make me feel, and few of them help enough to be worth the side effects, I usually have just gone to bed, taking over the counter sleep meds and lots of Excedrin praying no one would flip on the lights without thinking! The 5 day migraine forced me to go to the ER. After a shot Tordadol, several intrusive tests, and finally a...

I am pregnant and suffer from Migraines. My obgyn prescribed this to me and says it's safe for me to use. It has been a God send! I'm trusting my doc and hoping that all will be well with my baby!

I recently joined a ne PCP who stated I was not able to get Fioracet because it was a controlled substance, I never heard that and I have been taking them for years. Is this true

I have had these chronic headaches all my life. Over time I have been to every sort of doctor one can imagine. Including a psychiatrist. Over time I took so many aspirins, I made an ulcer. After many trial and errors, Fioricet is the only thing I can take, without side effects, that prevents my headaches from becoming debilitating. I hate they decided to raise their price when forced to reduce the amount of acetominephine. I don't know what to substitute for it.

I have had migraines since I was 16 I am 25 and this is the only medicine that works. I have been to all the migraine specialists including the Jefferson Headache Center (which was unable to help me actually they made my headaches worse) Finally my home town neurtolg8ist said use this med and it works. I don't know why these other doctors don't listen to the patients.

I have tried so very many, "migraine medications" over the past 16 years and I can not take them but one and it is so expensive I can not afford it. Yeas ago my doctor prescribed Firoicet 3 and I took this for many many many years and it worked perfectly. I could work at my job with no problems. We moved to another state and you would think I am asking for some sort of illegal drug! My doctors insisted on trying me on these migraine specific medications that cause me allergic reactions or rebound headaches or just make me sick. They tell me Fioricet is not in my best interest and will not prescribe it and now they are telling me I have to live with my migraines! This is one of the oldest migraine medications, I had no side effects from this drug. I could cope and do my job, now I can not work and have nothing I can take..what is wrong with doctors that they feel something else is better when it has been proven I can not take "something else"!??? This is a fantastic medication for migraine headaches, Period!I have had migraines since I was 18 years old.Read More Read Less

I've had migraines for 15+ yrs. and have ALWAYS used fioricet. My 16 yr. old has used it since age 12. We've both had nothing but positive experiences. It allows me to stay at work and her to stay in school. Still an occasional trip to the ER, but with our history, "occasional" is good! It's our life saver!

I developed a tolerance for this drug, which has become an addiction. Initially, it helped my headaches, which were almost daily. Then I began to take it to PREVENT headaches. I get a 'rush' when I first take two, but now it does not address the tension headaches anymore. I am again going off the drug.

Time and time again, even hospitalized through regular migraines and gestational migraines. I was on this medicine daily throughout my entire last pregnancy. Thamk goodness for it. Doctors have had me try everything, even things that made my head ache worse. So severe. I call this magic medicine. 15-20 min. Gone, completely gone. I have no side effects, except highly productive and very organized because of the caffeine in it I think. Even now, I have had many migraines recently and I count on this everytime. I prefer NO narcotics because my body is sensitive when they wear off, and this medicine does not have that effect. Even when on it for 9 months; 3 time daily. No withdrawl effects. I have suffered from hormone related migraines since I was a teenager..i am now a 36 yr old mother of 3. over the years I have tried so many medicines to help with the migraines. This is the ONLY ONE that helps me. It may not take the migraine completely away< but it reduces it by at least 75%. It DOES NOT make me feel loopy or out of my mind tired, as some other meds have. I am so grateful that I finally have something that helps
