This medication works well with minimal side effects. It mutes the pain levels down to a point where you can concentrate on daily activities without feeling "drugged".... There are two very important points to this medication that cannot be ignored without side effects. Overdosage: From all the blogs I've found, overdosage often results in sleeplessness. Headaches and stomach cramps are a...

I only gave one star, because iv never taken this medication. ( yet) Celebrex 200 mg for a year, I can get out of bed and be somewhat normal, but have not walk more then 50 yards without pain. ( L4-L5-S1-Hip problems) nine injectings over the three years all NSADS, PT twice. Can this be taken with Celebrex? Has anyone taken both together?

I find it mild and somewhat effective. I have no side affects that I can tell, so I will continue to take the meds because there is very little else I can take for pain.

I had a work injery on my right shoulder, 3 months later I had bone spur and decompression surgery. It took a trip to the ER to find that ultram worked better then Percaset by far. The only problem I have is that it has lost some of its affectiveness over time. Now I'm having to look for something similler to it.

I've been a chronic pain patient for 25 years due to a broken back L1-L5 fused and neck injuries. Anyway, I've been taking Hydrocodone & Oxymorphone for years and now tried Ultram as high as 500mg with no relief whatsoever. I'll go back to the long acting meds.

I began taking this several years ago for curvature of the spine, arthritis and herniated discs. But I was having a problem with constipation, skin itching and dizziness so I decided to wean myself off which I did but I felt awful during this process. More recently, because I do not want to take a narcotic drug and still having a lot of back pain, I decided to start taking it again. I could "kick myself" - a BAD decision. Now having the previous problems plus sleep apnea and loss of appetite (slight nausea) and have lost 25 lbs which I did not need to lose. Anyway, I am now beginning another regime the doctor gave me to get off it. (Just learned that this med can be responsible for relaxing the throat muscles and one does not get enough oxygen). I have always slept well so did not suspect this - which of course could be caused by other things but since I am over 80 and have not had this problem before it is suspicious. Hope this helps someone else - I would just rather deal with the pain or find something else than to deal with the problem it causes.Read More Read Less

I have had chronic back pain my entire life. Starting in 2008 I have had 4 spinal fusion surgeries and one neurostimulator implant plus a heart attack. I take four different pain killers including morphine IR and ER, Percocet and ultram. The ultram is the best of the three it has zero side effects and I can stop whenever I need to. I tried to get off the Ultram to take a antidepressant but no other painkiller could replace it. My doctor stated that Ultram was supposed to replace morphine and be an nonnarcotic drug but it only works for about 40% of the people. I was one of them. One 50 mg tablet does nothing I must take 2 50mg tablets for it to work. It is a good worker with no side affects.Read More Read Less

Hi everybody. This is my review of this useless drug. In November 2011 will working I hurniated 3 lumbar disks. Workers comp sent me to a spine specialist and he put me on 100 mg 4 times a day and I got no pain releaf at all. I had respiratory distress, excessive sweating and problems sleeping. He did my surgery and I was still at a high level of pain and still proscribed me the tramadol even though I told him it wasn't helping. To those that it helps good for you. But its to bad the drs won't listen to patients when they need help because they don't want to give Meds that actually help.Read More Read Less

i was using oxycontin intraveinously, self medicating for several years, ultram, saved my life, i was really in bad shape.i still have to take ultram, but my life is back to normal..if u r abusing opiods try 100 mg every 12 hours, you will still have some rough days..but if you really want to quit opiods this was my savior, plus a lot of praying..these things were God sent for me...

I just took my first pill, and noticed 3 hours later a huge relief in pain, also am taking Vicodin for pain, this pill has helped me so much, When I got up this am, I literally could get up with no pain in my legs, as usually I have, so I would def recommend this pill ! And I only take 1 100mg every 24 hours ..
